Generic Epileptic Drugs Considered as Safe as Brands, FDA Says
Switching patients from brand to generic anti-epilepsy drugs (AEDs) does not appear to increase the risk of seizures or other adverse events, the FDA concludes in a new report. However, further study is needed to understand the risks and determine which subsets of patients are likely to suffer ill effects from switching, the report says.
