Indian Pharma - Declining Sales Force Productivity

Declining  sales force productivity can be directly linked to heightened competition in the Indian Pharma Industry. The number of pharma companies chasing the same product basket is increasing every year, while the growth driven by improving diagnosis rate and enhanced rural presence is now approaching saturation.  It is evident that the larger branded generic companies now need to differentiate by introducing value added generic as sales force effort and branding seems to be loosing value proposition.
